From surf to snow in minutes.

The contrast of Mount Taranaki - Egmont National Park - an abundance of lakes and rivers, breathtaking coastline and acres of virgin native bush makes the Taranaki region unique to New Zealand.

The surf rolls in from the Tasman Sea from three points of the compass creating some of the best surf in New Zealand, becoming surfers, wind surfers, wave riders and boogie boarders from around the globe.

The scores of lakes and rivers add to the water playground activities with dam dropping, jet boating, white water rafting and canoeing,

Mount Egmont/Taranaki dominates the region standing 2518 meters above sea level.  A network of some 140km of walkways/tracks huts challenge trampers mountaineers and climbers to the limit.  One of the most accessible mountains in New Zealand, with access and exit points located at road and picnic spots.

Helicopter tours scan the mountain and surrounding areas.  Other forms of transport to get around Taranaki include mountain bilking, horse trekking and motor cycling.

The ski fields are situated 1140 meters up Mount Taranaki at the Plateau, catering for beginners - intermediate and advanced.
